Between the Lines
The Folk Process at Work in Australia - By Jason Roweth
‘These songs are meant to be shared’ - Carrie Milliner

This site contains versions of my "Between the Lines" articles for Trad & Now magazine. The aim of the articles is to present some of the discoveries made during my many happy hours listening to recordings of traditional Australian singers, along with interesting fragments of incomplete songs and poems in the hope that readers may be able to help discover lost items. We have had some successes!

Follow the links below - you'll find:

- Traditional Australian song lyrics and tunes
- Yarns about the original singers and the subjects they sing about
- Relevant images
- A growing selection of sound files (mp3 and midi) and links to relevant and related sites.
