Biography

Chloe & Jason Roweth combine strong original songs, old-style ballads and thoughtful arrangements of our beautiful, but lesser known Australian collected material in their repertoire. Their striking mix of older country and traditional styles, with a contemporary edge and relaxed delivery provides a captivating concert experience, distinctly Australian in character. They strive to maintain the tradition of Australian music, and to continue on in the same spirit while breaking new ground.

Chloë (vocals, mandolin) and Jason Roweth (vocals, guitar) have been performing and recording for over 12 years together. Professional musicians with an engaging manner and appealing sound, whether at a festival, club or in concert their performances are dynamic, refreshing and entertaining.

Their broad repertoire includes strong original songs, old-style ballads, well known bush songs, lively tunes and thoughtful arrangements of our beautiful, but lesser known Australian traditional material. Along with their concert and bushdance repertoire, Chloe and Jason present several themed concerts and instructional workshops.

Successful independent artists with thousands of performances around Australia & overseas to their names, their releases include 9 CDs of Australian folk, country and bush music, along with various other CD's as part of larger line-ups.
