Jindi Plays Joe
Jindi (1998)

Since 1997, Chloe and Jason have performed "all over the place" with Mike Martin (vocals, tenor guitar, concertina, button accordion) and sometimes Stephen Teakel (clavietta, bush-bass, percussion) in Jindi, a band with a focus on the collected music of the central-west, especially the fiddle tunes of Joe Yates. Based in Bathurst, NSW, Jindi released a very well received CD ("Jindi Plays Joe") and book of Joe's tunes in early 1999, and have helped to spread the tunes across many sessions and gigs at folk festivals / clubs. Another Jindi highlight has been the "King of the Bush Fiddlers" workshop / humorous tune "war", with the Harvest Moon Band playing the tunes of Joe Cashmere up against Jindi's Joe Yates tunes. Usually an honourable draw!
