The Soul of a Poet - Songs and Poems of Henry Lawson
GULGONG OPERA HOUSE
Join us in savouring the extraordinary power and pathos in Henry Lawson’s words, still so strongly resonant today. Some poems are sung, others recited with the sympathetic musical accompaniment we've pioneered in recent years. This concert includes original musical settings, classic arrangements by other artists, and evocative use of dance music from Lawson’s home country here in central-west NSW.
“This is one of those rare shows that you want to go on forever – and when you leave, you realise it does anyway. Utterly unforgettable.” - Kim Kelly, Writer
